Here you'll see how I've installed my Quest 2 in my Scenic II

Used parts: 1 Scenic II, 1 Quest 2, 1 friction mount and 1 magnetic antenna.

As you can see, the antenna is in the middle of the roof, the wire running aside the windscreen, going through the rear view mirror "box" and then into the car, where the Quest 2 is inserted into the friction mount. That one in turn is connected to the lighter socket in the middle of the car, with the speaker at the wires end.
